Morning sickness has hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm trying the ginger capsules, but they aren't doing much good. I feel decent after I eat, but only for a little bit. :( Hopefully this won't last as long as it did with Garrett, which was about 16 weeks. If I still feel horrible tomorrow, I may give Dr. Newsome a call and see what he suggests.
I am so tired. Yesterday in my PICQ Committee Meeting I kept nodding off. Today it is raining and that isn't helping at all. I'm good up until after I eat lunch, then I want a nap. This is the part of pregnancy that sucks! But it is all worth it when I get to see this little one! I wonder if it is a he or a she. I really don't think I am going to be able to hold out finding out when we go for that ultrasound! I think Chris would like to wait this time around. But we'll see what happens.
That's about it for now...I'm trying to hold my eyelids open.

6 weeks preggo
Well, morning sickness has been its worst today. I woke up feeling nauseated and trying to holler at Chris (who was asleep on the couch) to bring me my ginger capsules. I finally got up and got them myself. I took my time getting ready for church...took me 2 1/2 hours! LOL! I thought I was going to have to disrupt the preacher and make a run for the bathroom but I did well!
After church, Chris took me to Kabuto's a Japanese restaraunt. Yummy! Even had some fresh ginger there. Came home took a 2 hour nap (Garrett slept 2 1/2 hours!). I had Chris get me a Wendy's plain single with cheese then dipped it in ketchup for dinner. YUMMY! I'm feeling MUCH better tonight!
Here is my updated pic. Looks like my ghetto butt is non existent.

1st Prenatal Appt
Went to see Dr. Newsome today. I love him! He is the best ob/gyn there is!
Weighed in at 134 lbs. Blood pressure was fine and the pregnancy test came back positive! The nurse showed Chris and I to the room. Dr. Newsome came in and looked at my fertility friend chart which showed him that I actually ovulated on cycle day 17, not cycle day 14 which most doctors assume. He agreed with my due date of December 18th. He checked my uterus and said everything was looking good.
Chris and I went into his office and talked about everything that would happen in the next 9 months. We will be doing monthly visits until our 7th and 8th month when we will start every 2 weeks. During the 9th month, there will be weekly visits. We said that we were skipping the alpha beta test because we don't care if this baby is perfect or not. To us it will be perfect and was chosen by God for us. He asked if I would be getting an epidural (OF COURSE!) and if I planned on breastfeeding (YEP!). He said that with the 1st child he doesn't induce, but with the 2nd he will. I would rather go on my own, but I believe it will be easier to plan where Garrett will be, tackling traffic, and being more prepared. He said that labors with the 2nd tend to be a lot shorter (half the time of the 1st) and that episiotomies were definitely better, even if non existent! (Thank GOD!)
The best news of all...we should be able to deliver at Baptist! Supposedly they have begun taking our insurance again! WOOHOO!
Next visit is May 20th and we should be able to hear the heartbeat!

Oh my! Oh my!
I just found out that I will be in-charging my first audit. I'm excited, but nervous at the same time. It should take me about 3 weeks and then I will be off to my Medicaid program audit. Very exciting news for me today!
Extra, Extra, Read All About It!!!
Well, I have come out of the closet at work. I told one of my managers that I was pregnant. I knew that I had to or people would think I was fat! My pants are so tight! Now I will feel comfortable wearing maternity clothes and not worrying about explaining why. This way they will already know.
Last night we went to dinner at my parents house. My mom asked if I was sure that I wasn't further along. I really don't think I am considering I had a visit from Aunt Flo in March, but I'm sure my ob/gyn will give me a date on Friday.
I asked Garrett last night where my baby was and he raised his shirt and pointed to his belly! LOL! That little man is so silly. He hasn't a clue what is going on. I cannot believe he turned 21 months on Monday. Boy does time fly!
Today is the scheduling meeting at work. I am an auditor for the state. I will find out my destiny this afternoon to see which audit I will go to next. I'm sure I will go to the Medicaid program, but there is always that chance I will be assigned elsewhere. I'm content going to the Medicaid program though, since I pretty much know a lot about it.
Today my symptoms are: fatigue, bloated, off and on nausea, gums bled when I brushed my teeth.
That's all for now!

5 weeks 2 days pregnant
We found out on Friday, April 8th that we were pregnant again! I had taken a test on Wednesday which came up negative...or so I thought. I had thrown the hpt in my bathroom cabinet without giving it another thought. On Friday, I was cleaning out the cabinet and noticed a very faint line. I decided to take another test and it came back very faint. So, that night when Chris, Garrett and I went out to eat, I decided we needed to stop by Walgreens so I could pick up a First Response Early Response pregnancy test. Later that evening I took one since we had bought a 3 pack. Sure enough, a dark line came up! We were ecstatic! Well, I was, Chris was shocked and a little overwhelmed. I remember the roles were reversed when we found out with Garrett that we were pregnant (I was shocked and he was ecstatic)! That's ok, because now we are both ready for this next chapter of our lives.
I decided to try and take weekly pictures of my belly. We'll see if that actually happens though! LOL! This one was taken Sunday night. It looks like I'm carrying this baby in my butt! I love my ghetto butt though.

5 weeks pregnant
Garrett really doesn't know what being a big brother is all about. He's only 21 months for Pete's sake, so how can we expect him to understand that his little world is about to change. I'm excited about this new bundle of joy while feeling guilty because he is not going to be the only child anymore. I cannot imagine how I will love this little one as much as him. I mean he was my first-born, the one who called me mommy first. I just trust that others are right when they say that you will love them just the same! (Ok, I need to stop, or I'll be crying over here!)
My only symptoms so far is fatigue. This morning I awoke with a little nausea, but nothing like with Garrett. I lost 10 lbs. with him in one month alone. I pray that doesn't happen this time around.

Why Have a Blog?
So, I'm new to all this blogging! I hope to learn by trial and error as I go. Hopefully it won't be too hard!
I'm sitting here trying to think of the reasons I even want to blog. The first is to get down on all my thoughts over this baby that is growing inside of me. Another reason is to get down all the funny little things that Garrett does, I don't want to miss a detail of his life! I love to read, so I want to try and keep up with the books that I am reading. I just want to keep a type of diary, just so I can vent about every little thing!
I think this will be a neat way for friends and family to keep up with the ongoings of our household. Especially with this pregnancy. I'm sure after each doctor appointment I will forget to update someone about the happenings of this little miracle whoever he or she may be. This way, they can check out my blog and know directly from the source and not from Aunt So-in-so.
I can't wait to get to started!
