Gosh, I did not realize how long I had not posted. I had an appointment last Wednesday. Emma is doing great. I have gained 12 lbs so far, regardless of what Dr. Newsome says. I've figured that he isn't taking into consideration that I lost some weight with morning sickness. :P My blood pressure was still low 90/56 which he still isn't worried about. I asked him if there was any way I could make sure that I was home on Christmas Eve and he said that if I would let him, he would induce me the week before I was due. So, now I have to consider that. I'm leaning on waiting until my due date and if no baby by then, then going for the induction. I just want to be home with Garrett. We'll see though. I want to do some research on inductions.
I also had my glucose test for gestational diabetes. That is the nastiest stuff on the face of the earth! I think I should get the results back this week. I'm not sure though.
We have decided on Ms. Emma's furniture. I bought it at KMart! I could not believe how nice and how sturdy it was. So, now I'm splurging on her bedding from Pottery Barn. Hopefully we can start on the room in the next couple of weeks.
Garrett is doing great. I was off with him all last week and was scared he would have issues with daycare today, but he was a little trooper. :)
Guess that is pretty much it! Only 12 or 13 weeks to go!

19 weeks 2 days Preggo!!
I had my ultrsound on Friday. We told the tech that we definitely wanted to know what we are having. It took her FOREVER to get to that part! She kept measuring and measuring, but FINALLY I heard...IT'S A LITTLE GIRL! WOOHOO! I am still estatic! I cannot believe it still. I will try to take a picture of the pictures. We were able to see her in 3D, but she was asleep and didn't want to move her hands!
Afterwards, I had an appointment with Dr. Newsome. Bloodpressure was 90/60 and I gained 3 pounds. So that is a total of 3 for the pregnancy! No problems at all. He said the ultrasound report said she was just perfect! Yay!
Garrett's birthday party was on Saturday and he had a blast. He got tons of stuff and ate tons of cake & ice cream! I think he is set with toys until Christmas.
Guess that is about here for now!

17 Week Appointment & My Baby is 2!!!
We went for our 17 week appointment on Friday. My blood pressure was 90/54, but he wasn't concerned. It is just the reason for my dizzy spells and near blackouts. I didn't have any weight gain! Woohoo! I asked Dr. Newsome if that was a reason for concern and he said nope, just to flaunt it. LOL!
He listened for the heart beat and said it sounded like a boy. :P Then, he measured my belly. He didn't comment on it, so I assume everything is A-OK in that regards. He asked if we had any questions and Chris asked how much an ultrasound was. He asked why and I explained that we are going crazy wondering if we are having a boy or girl. So, he told us to come back in a week! So, in less than 3 days, I will know whether or not this baby is a Morgan Allen or an Emma Grace! Woohoo! I will definitely update then.
Yesterday, Garrett turned 2 years old! I cannot believe my baby is 2! He really didn't have a clue what was going on, but he was catching on by the end of the day. Chris said this morning he was saying "Happy Birthday!" LOL! He's just a day late. We are having his party on Saturday, so I'm excited!!
Until next time, think pink! If it ends up blue, that is ok too! ;)

17 Weeks and 2 Days Preggo!
I have to apologize yet again for not blogging lately. We have taken a few camping trips and I've just been crazy! Especially since morning sickness only hits every other week or so. :)
I also have to apologize for no belly pics. My digital camera battery door has broken so I finally got in touch with Kodak to get a replacement part. They tried to get me to send it in to their repair center, but for only $15 they are sending me a replacement without directions. But how hard can replacing the battery door be??? I figure it would be a lot cheaper than sending it to their stupid repair center.
I will see Dr. Newsome on Friday. He said at our last visit that we would schedule the ultrasound then. He better not try and make me wait 4 weeks until the next appointment. He doesn't do them in his office, so hopefully he will make an appointment for 2 weeks later. I will fight for that ultrasound. I'm going crazy wondering what the gender of this baby is!!! That is really funny though, because we didn't find out what Garrett's gender was. How odd!
I have joined a book club on a delphi forum (the Isle of Whack or IOW). The first book we have selected is The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I just started it last night and read 130 pages! It is great so far. I guess I need to find out what the next selection is so I can request it at the library.
That is about all. I promise to post a pic of my belly as soon as I get the batter door replaced on the camera. Pray that I can do it! LOL!

14 weeks and 1 day preggo!
This has been a busy weekend. I was off on Friday, so I went to see Dr. Newsome for my appointment. Very boring which is good. I had gained no weight since the last appointment :) so I'm still at a -2 lbs for the pregnancy! I explained that I had been feeling dizzy and the room had went black a couple of times. He just told me to take my time before standing and getting out of bed. He said it was the result of my wonderful low blood pressure and that I would probably die of old age in my sleep :) We heard the heart beat and baby was kicking away the whole time! He said that the heart rate sounded like a boy to him, but I'm not stressing....he kept saying Garrett was a girl. LOL!
After my appointment, I cleaned house! Woohoo! First time in probably 2 months that the house got scrubbed!!! Morning sickness has probably left for good. Yay! Then, Chris and I went and had my Trailblazer cleaned and went to pick up Garrett from daycare. It was water day at daycare and he loved it!
Saturday morning we got up early and drove to Chattanooga. Went to the Chattanooga Zoo which was a joke! Don't waste your time in going. We took Garrett to the Children's Discovery Museum which was a blast! Sunday morning we went to the aquarium where Garrett said hi to Nemo, Dory, Gill, and Peach from Finding Nemo :) He loved the fish!
Well, I think that was a short recap from the weekend.

12 weeks 3 days pregnant!
Gosh, what has happened since I last posted? I've still been sick, but it seems to be getting better. I've been able to clean the house a little more, but it is still far from clean!
Garrett and I went camping with my parents and brother this weekend. Chris had to work. We went to Ragland Bottom near Center Hill lake. It was beautiful! Garrett had a blast! He played in the dirt and the water. He slept wonderfully, but kept getting up for the day at 5:30 am. Ugh! But overall it was a great weekend.
Garrett is starting to put together sentences. This weekend I told him to "come on" while I was walking back to our campsite. He said "I'm coming, Mama!" LOL! Then, my mom asked him where Dada was and he answered "I don't know where Dada is!" It was hilarious. He shrugged his shoulders and held his hands out too, like I haven't got a clue!
Nothing much else is going on. We made our reservations to go to Gatlinburg. We will be staying in Townsend at a campground. We aren't taking the camper, instead we are staying in a cabin. So, it should be fun!

10 weeks 2 days preggo
I had a doctor appointment on Friday. It was very uneventful. Lost 2 lbs (much better than with Garrett when I lost 10 lbs) and got to hear the heartbeat. It was 147 beats. Woohoo! Lower than what Garrett's was, so I'm wondering if this will be another boy. My father-in-law did the wedding ring test where you tie the wife's wedding band to a sting and if it goes up and down (length wise of body) it is supposed to be a boy, if it is side to side then it supposed to be a girl. Well, based on his prediction, we are having a girl! Guess we will see, huh?
I made the mistake of telling Dr. Newsome that my morning sickness was starting to go away. Well, it hit Saturday night...mac&cheese is no fun, let me tell ya! Ugh...just thinking about it makes me want to barf now.
Not much going on at work. Getting ready for the TennCare audit. Just hanging around doing odd things for managers and other in-charges.

9 weeks and 2 days pregnant!
Not much happening. Morning sickness is still here. I go to the doctor on Friday so hopefully he will have something that can relieve it.
Garrett has slept the past 2 nights in a row without waking Chris or I up. What a blessing!

7 weeks and 4 days pregnant
Sorry I haven't posted lately. Morning sickness is no fun :( I called Dr. Newsome on Monday and the receptionist suggested b-6, b-complex, and emetrol if needed. It seems to be helping some, but I still can't manage to get to the grocery store or get my house in order. Oh well, when the 2nd trimester gets here, I will have that house back to normal!
I am waiting for my audit to begin. Well, it has started but I just can't get in touch with the guy in order to move out to the site. So, here I sit waiting. In the meantime, I am trying to plan a trip in August to Columbus Ohio to meet some of the July 2003 mommies from my about.com forum. I am getting so excited!
That's about all for now!

Morning Sickness Sucks & Exhausted
Morning sickness has hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm trying the ginger capsules, but they aren't doing much good. I feel decent after I eat, but only for a little bit. :( Hopefully this won't last as long as it did with Garrett, which was about 16 weeks. If I still feel horrible tomorrow, I may give Dr. Newsome a call and see what he suggests.
I am so tired. Yesterday in my PICQ Committee Meeting I kept nodding off. Today it is raining and that isn't helping at all. I'm good up until after I eat lunch, then I want a nap. This is the part of pregnancy that sucks! But it is all worth it when I get to see this little one! I wonder if it is a he or a she. I really don't think I am going to be able to hold out finding out when we go for that ultrasound! I think Chris would like to wait this time around. But we'll see what happens.
That's about it for now...I'm trying to hold my eyelids open.

6 weeks preggo
Well, morning sickness has been its worst today. I woke up feeling nauseated and trying to holler at Chris (who was asleep on the couch) to bring me my ginger capsules. I finally got up and got them myself. I took my time getting ready for church...took me 2 1/2 hours! LOL! I thought I was going to have to disrupt the preacher and make a run for the bathroom but I did well!
After church, Chris took me to Kabuto's a Japanese restaraunt. Yummy! Even had some fresh ginger there. Came home took a 2 hour nap (Garrett slept 2 1/2 hours!). I had Chris get me a Wendy's plain single with cheese then dipped it in ketchup for dinner. YUMMY! I'm feeling MUCH better tonight!
Here is my updated pic. Looks like my ghetto butt is non existent.

1st Prenatal Appt
Went to see Dr. Newsome today. I love him! He is the best ob/gyn there is!
Weighed in at 134 lbs. Blood pressure was fine and the pregnancy test came back positive! The nurse showed Chris and I to the room. Dr. Newsome came in and looked at my fertility friend chart which showed him that I actually ovulated on cycle day 17, not cycle day 14 which most doctors assume. He agreed with my due date of December 18th. He checked my uterus and said everything was looking good.
Chris and I went into his office and talked about everything that would happen in the next 9 months. We will be doing monthly visits until our 7th and 8th month when we will start every 2 weeks. During the 9th month, there will be weekly visits. We said that we were skipping the alpha beta test because we don't care if this baby is perfect or not. To us it will be perfect and was chosen by God for us. He asked if I would be getting an epidural (OF COURSE!) and if I planned on breastfeeding (YEP!). He said that with the 1st child he doesn't induce, but with the 2nd he will. I would rather go on my own, but I believe it will be easier to plan where Garrett will be, tackling traffic, and being more prepared. He said that labors with the 2nd tend to be a lot shorter (half the time of the 1st) and that episiotomies were definitely better, even if non existent! (Thank GOD!)
The best news of all...we should be able to deliver at Baptist! Supposedly they have begun taking our insurance again! WOOHOO!
Next visit is May 20th and we should be able to hear the heartbeat!

Oh my! Oh my!
I just found out that I will be in-charging my first audit. I'm excited, but nervous at the same time. It should take me about 3 weeks and then I will be off to my Medicaid program audit. Very exciting news for me today!
Extra, Extra, Read All About It!!!
Well, I have come out of the closet at work. I told one of my managers that I was pregnant. I knew that I had to or people would think I was fat! My pants are so tight! Now I will feel comfortable wearing maternity clothes and not worrying about explaining why. This way they will already know.
Last night we went to dinner at my parents house. My mom asked if I was sure that I wasn't further along. I really don't think I am considering I had a visit from Aunt Flo in March, but I'm sure my ob/gyn will give me a date on Friday.
I asked Garrett last night where my baby was and he raised his shirt and pointed to his belly! LOL! That little man is so silly. He hasn't a clue what is going on. I cannot believe he turned 21 months on Monday. Boy does time fly!
Today is the scheduling meeting at work. I am an auditor for the state. I will find out my destiny this afternoon to see which audit I will go to next. I'm sure I will go to the Medicaid program, but there is always that chance I will be assigned elsewhere. I'm content going to the Medicaid program though, since I pretty much know a lot about it.
Today my symptoms are: fatigue, bloated, off and on nausea, gums bled when I brushed my teeth.
That's all for now!

5 weeks 2 days pregnant
We found out on Friday, April 8th that we were pregnant again! I had taken a test on Wednesday which came up negative...or so I thought. I had thrown the hpt in my bathroom cabinet without giving it another thought. On Friday, I was cleaning out the cabinet and noticed a very faint line. I decided to take another test and it came back very faint. So, that night when Chris, Garrett and I went out to eat, I decided we needed to stop by Walgreens so I could pick up a First Response Early Response pregnancy test. Later that evening I took one since we had bought a 3 pack. Sure enough, a dark line came up! We were ecstatic! Well, I was, Chris was shocked and a little overwhelmed. I remember the roles were reversed when we found out with Garrett that we were pregnant (I was shocked and he was ecstatic)! That's ok, because now we are both ready for this next chapter of our lives.
I decided to try and take weekly pictures of my belly. We'll see if that actually happens though! LOL! This one was taken Sunday night. It looks like I'm carrying this baby in my butt! I love my ghetto butt though.

5 weeks pregnant
Garrett really doesn't know what being a big brother is all about. He's only 21 months for Pete's sake, so how can we expect him to understand that his little world is about to change. I'm excited about this new bundle of joy while feeling guilty because he is not going to be the only child anymore. I cannot imagine how I will love this little one as much as him. I mean he was my first-born, the one who called me mommy first. I just trust that others are right when they say that you will love them just the same! (Ok, I need to stop, or I'll be crying over here!)
My only symptoms so far is fatigue. This morning I awoke with a little nausea, but nothing like with Garrett. I lost 10 lbs. with him in one month alone. I pray that doesn't happen this time around.

Why Have a Blog?
So, I'm new to all this blogging! I hope to learn by trial and error as I go. Hopefully it won't be too hard!
I'm sitting here trying to think of the reasons I even want to blog. The first is to get down on all my thoughts over this baby that is growing inside of me. Another reason is to get down all the funny little things that Garrett does, I don't want to miss a detail of his life! I love to read, so I want to try and keep up with the books that I am reading. I just want to keep a type of diary, just so I can vent about every little thing!
I think this will be a neat way for friends and family to keep up with the ongoings of our household. Especially with this pregnancy. I'm sure after each doctor appointment I will forget to update someone about the happenings of this little miracle whoever he or she may be. This way, they can check out my blog and know directly from the source and not from Aunt So-in-so.
I can't wait to get to started!
